FS25 Miscanthus - PREFAB

Here is my miscanthus foliage for FS25.

It is a re-growable crop after harvesting. It is harvested with a forage harvester for a new heightType: miscanthus cut. This chaff-like fillType can then be added to animalFood.xml for feeding animals, or in TMR recipe. Used for fermenting into compost, at BGA, at Heat Plant as fuel etc. See real life uses for ideas.

Update: added special potato planters that can plant miscanthus (irl this plant has rhizomes that are planted in the ground, not seeds). You can buy miscanthus rhyzomes from store at potato category or fill the special planters with seeds.

Known issue: AI helpers won't use any miscanthus rhyzomes/seeds from the planters (tried the modified planters with only miscanthus and still the same problem). When using them yourself, the rhyzomes are consumed when planting as it should.

Some info about miscanthus IRL.

• Type: Perennial grass, mainly Miscanthus × giganteus.

• Purpose: Grown as a biomass crop for renewable energy, biofuels, and bedding.

• Yield: High productivity; can yield 10-30 tons of dry matter per hectare annually.

• Growth: Grows up to 3-4 meters tall, with a lifespan of 15-20 years.

• Soil: Thrives on marginal lands; low input requirements (fertilizer, pesticides).

• Carbon Storage: Excellent for carbon sequestration due to deep root systems.

• Planting: Propagated by rhizomes, not seeds. (By the way, in FS22 I had it planted with a modified potato planter, but I can't use those textures in FS25 and I have no tools to make new ones on macOS)

• Harvest: Typically harvested once a year, in late winter or early spring.

• Environmental Benefits: Reduces soil erosion, improves soil health, and supports biodiversity.
